What We Stand For
The U.S. Private Enterprise Council (USPEC) was created to safeguard the American Dream of building local businesses and leaving lasting legacies for future family generations to carry on and grow.
Today, many of these enterprises are struggling like never before. The COVID-19 pandemic forced many to permanently close their doors, lay off workers, drain their family’s savings or take on significant debt. Sadly, many local businesses will never open their doors again. And for those that do, enormous and unforeseen challenges and costs from proposed federal policies and changes in tax law now threaten their future existence even more.
The bipartisan Congressional support for struggling small enterprises that materialized across political lines during the pandemic sadly has given way to the prospect of massive new taxes and costly regulatory burdens as we enter a fragile economic recovery. The impact of which may be too much for many families and privately owned enterprises to survive and subsequently pass on their operations to future generations.
The USPEC was established to help advocate on behalf of local small businesses, family- and privately-owned enterprises, family farms, and ranches in the face of these and other future challenges. Our mission is to ensure the American Dream of building a local business and leaving a legacy for future family generations remains a viable cornerstone of our economy and American way of life.
